Silver Rainbow LGBTI Aged Care Awareness Training program is managed nationally by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia (LHA) and delivered collaboratively with partner organisations in every state in Territory. Silver Rainbow acknowledges the ongoing support of the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, founded in 2010, is the national peak body for LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people.
LHA members contribute a wealth of diverse expertise, capabilities, and capacities to the organisation. Together, we serve as a formidable and trusted voice. LHA is guided by four foundational pillars of work: policy and influence, member engagement and support, partnerships and collaboration, and the national facilitation of capacity building programs.

Silver Pride Advocacy Network
The Silver Pride Advocacy Network is a national network which aims to amplify the voices of LGBTI older people, in discussions about ageing and the aged care system in Australia. LHA aims to help LGBTI older people influence policies, programs and decision-making. The Network represents the full range of diverse views and experiences of older LGBTI people. LHA aims to support participation by older people who might not otherwise be heard. This includes LGBTI older people receiving care, sick or living with medical conditions, and from regional and rural Australia.
